II. Global ocean & land terrain models from GEBCO’s gridded bathymetric datasets “GEBCO_2014 Grid — a global 30 arc-second interval grid” by the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) (of UNESCO).

• Resolution: 30 arc-second / Pixel
• Coordinate System: Geographic WGS1984
• Format: ECW (Enhanced Compression Wavelet) with compression ratio 5:1
• Size of compressed file: 281 MB

You can use it as basemap with most of GIS softwares …. it’ll be very useful in studying regional geographic features.

After download data unzip compressed folder then open data in any GIS software as following:
- Open file with extension ERS in ArcMap.
- Open file with extension ECW in Global Mapper, ERDAS, ENVI or QGIS.
- Open file with extension TAB in MapInfo.
